Mechanically Focused

Draeger Mechanical Engineering provides mechanically focused design and engineering services, specializing in custom mechanisms, mechanical assemblies, stress analysis, fabrication methods, enclosures, fasteners, coatings, and designing parts and assemblies for manufacturability.

Multi-Disciplinary Integration

Mechanical engineering projects often require coordination between several engineering disciplines. When electrical, hydraulic, firmware, or software systems are needed, these services may be coordinated or subcontracted either by Draeger Mechanical Engineering or the customer.

Scope of Work & Compromise

A project often takes a particular shape when driven by a compromise between constraints. Successful projects are a balance of many factors such as: materials, weight, finishes, function, strength, toughness, flexibility, safety, durability, balance, reliability, performance requirements, form factor, and end-user interaction. Many solutions are built using a custom chassis, or mechanical subassemblies that integrate off-the-shelf components such as actuators, pumps, motors, gears, sprockets, belts, springs, or cables to create a turnkey solution.

Fabrication & Materials

Components and structures may be produced using a wide variety of materials, including welded/fabricated steel, aluminum, tubular frames, machined components, sheet-metal enclosures, concrete/ceramics, plastic injection molding, die casting, 3D printing or sintering, or hybrid combinations of materials such as plastics, steel, wood, MDF, textiles, leather; the options are endless.
